Great North Run

On Sunday 8th September our Superintendent Minister, Rev James Bamber and Chris Young, a member of Huntingdon Methodist Church, took part in and completed, the Great North Run held in Newcastle upon Tyne.

James and Chris completed the 13.1 mile course in around 2 hours — an amazing achievement by both!

Both were running, not just for personal enjoyment(?) but also to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. As of 19th September together they have raised £1086 but there is still time to increase this total by donating online at: www.justgiving.com/GOSHJames-Bamber or by just clicking the link here

James and Chris wish to sincerely thank all those who have already donated and further donations will be extremely welcome.

Churches Together in England

Prayers of Hope Thousands of Christians lit candles and prayed last Sunday at 7.00pm and want to keep the prayer going. While the online witness was extraordinary, we are aware that not many people were outside to see the candles — and the lighter evenings will make them less visible in the weeks to come.
